Black Hills Regional Park Family Portrait Session With the Caron Family | Clarksburg, Maryland Family Photography
One of our favorite places to shoot family photos is Black Hills Regional Park in Clarksburg/Germantown, Maryland. I love how many different backdrops the park offers. First, You have woods with narrow trails, and open grassy fields for the kiddos to run around, second, the lake and lakefront make for some amazing sunset photos. We met with the Caron family here for their Black Hills Regional Park family portrait session. Turns out the Carons live like 4 houses away from us!
Family sessions can be a stressful event. Picking outfits, hopping the kids keep them clean long enough to get at least one clean shot, packing up the kids and the car, and then trying to keep them interested long enough to get the portraits you want.
Lucky for us, the Black Hills Regional Park in Germantown, MD is just 5 minutes down the road and is a beautiful place to photograph family portraits. The Carons were neighbors of ours at the time.
Fortunately for us, Black Hills Park offers proves to be the perfect spot for family portrait sessions. Being so close to Germantown and Clarksburg you can get in and out of the park while avoiding 270 traffic. The park’s natural beauty and variety of backdrops offers us the chance to make portraits in several parts of the park from green grassy fields, to lakes and woods.
Beyond all those great reason to love the park, there are playgrounds, and plenty of them. So after your session you and the kiddos can head off and burn off some energy.
